Sladewood Fundraising

Sladewood Academy has joined Easyfundraising to help our supporters raise additional funds towards our latest projects.  Please see the link below, where ‘how it works’ is explained:

https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/sladewood-academy

It is easy to sign up and over 8,000+ retailers will donate part of what you spend on your everyday shopping to Sladewood via a commission.  It doesn’t cost you any extra – the cost is covered by the retailer. You just need to shop using the Easyfundraising app or website.

We continue to apply for grants and sponsorships, making contact with many local businesses and charities.  If you know anyone who may be in a position to help us, please email admin@sladewood.sandmat.uk.  Many thanks for your support.

What we are aiming for...

Our dedicated team are always on the look out for ways to raise funds.  Our pupils have moderate learning difficulties which present as social, emotional, speech, language and comprehension needs. Our pupils have a range of difficulties including Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Down’s Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy.  Approximately, one third of our pupils come from disadvantaged backgrounds and are eligible for free school meals.  Currently, we are raising funds to improve our wonderful outdoor spaces.  We are looking to create ramped access to the main playground (currently steps) and then create a wonderful playground which takes into account all of the pupils’ needs and preferences to create a fun, safe place to play.  The total we are looking to raise is £80k.

We continue to apply for grants and sponsorships, making contact with many local businesses and charities.  If you know anyone who may be in a position to help us, please email admin@sladewood.sandmat.uk.

Please see our fundraising measure, along with our target, to make great things happen at Sladewood Academy. We are now well over half way towards our target!  Phase 1 of our project (the accessible Ramp and hopefully the Trim Trail) should take place over the Summer Holidays.  Updates will follow in September on this webpage.  THANK YOU SO MUCH to all our supporters!
